T. Daniel Lane is a 30 year old with autism who resides in Cape Cod Massachusetts. Daniel attended high school at Riverview School. In 2022, Daniel graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bridgewater State University (BSU) with a Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design and Minor in Art History.

Prior to attending BSU, Daniel took a number of art classes at Cape Cod Community College where he completed his Associates Degree in 2018. Based on the talent his professors saw, Daniel was selected to be one of the participants in a faculty art show. Additionally, Daniel’s painting entitled “Tangled up in Blues” was accepted into an art show at the Cotuit Center for the Arts back in early 2022. 

Daniel has loved art since a young age and can draw anything that comes to his mind. As a neurodiverse adult with autism, his mind shapes his perspective as well as his approach to art and design. It has given him the ability to see the world differently. While Daniel's expertise is in Graphic Design, he has a deep passion for painting and drawing. These mediums allow Daniel to express himself freely and bring his ideas to life on canvas and paper. 

Daniel’s work often explores themes of nature, emotion, and abstract concepts. Daniel’s interests and experiences shape almost all of his artwork as seen by his drawing of Philadelphia. Prior to living on Cape Cod, Daniel resided in Pennsylvania where many of his family members still live. It is a special place to him and his family! Overall, Daniel enjoys focusing on landscapes and commentary art themes which are often sparked by his hobbies of video games, hiking, and swimming on Cape Cod. 

Beyond his collegiate studies, one can often find Daniel continuing to self-teach new artistic approaches with various art books. He is most experienced in acrylic paintings and continues to explore different mediums such as digital art and watercolors. Daniel is striving to become an illustrator in the future while continuing work in Graphic Design. 

Daniel likes to be busy! Throughout his college education, he was employed part-time at Trader Joe’s. Now while pursuing his passion for arts and design, he continues to stay busy by balancing his work at Trader Joe’s, his hobbies, and art.
